About This Product
After washing and moistening with hot water to eliminate salt or SO2, sun dried tomatoes offer the sweetness and flavor of nature in a dehydrated form. They can be marinated with garlic, vinegar, salt, thyme and olive oil — perfect for breakfast plates, cereals, yogurt or snack plates.
Ripe red tomatoes from the fields around Şanlıurfa, in Turkey's sun-drenched Southeastern Anatolia region, are halved, salted and laid out to dry slowly under the open sky. This traditional sun drying method concentrates the fruit's natural sugars and deep umami character in a way no other process quite matches. Our sun dried tomatoes are supplied as halves, diced or strips, depending on the cut form your production line requires.
Sun dried tomatoes in bulk are a staple ingredient for pizza and sauce producers, ready meal manufacturers, delicatessen packers and antipasti brands. The strips and dices fold easily into sandwich fillings, salad blends and bakery applications such as focaccia and savoury breads, while the halves suit premium retail lines. As a wholesale supplier, we also support private label snack formats for importers and food service distributors.
Every batch is produced in our BRC-certified facility and prepared for shipment by washing and moistening with hot water to eliminate salt or SO2, exactly as our specifications describe. Storage is at +4°C with an 18-month shelf life. Standard packing is a 5 kg cardboard box for industrial use, with a 100 g Doy Pack available for retail-oriented programmes — and private label options can be discussed with our export team.
